Every December, Creekside Recreational Therapy & Wellness (Creekside RTW) partners with Broad Creek Christian Church (just over the Pamlico County line – off NC Highway 55), to provide the Breakfast with Santa for families with children of all ages and ability levels.
Breakfast with Santa is an inclusive and accepting environment where families who have children with special needs come to experience the holiday tradition of visiting Santa in a non-threatening, inclusive atmosphere. The whole family is welcome and every child (with and without special needs) receives a developmentally appropriate gift from Santa. Other activities at Breakfast with Santa include Making Reindeer Food, Making Christmas Tree Ornaments, Singing Christmas Carols with Mr. Sam, eating breakfast, having photos taken with Santa, taking pictures in the Photo Booth area, playing Christmas themed Games, and so much more!
Every Spring, Creekside Recreational Therapy & Wellness (Creekside RTW), partners with Bright Star Farm in Trenton, North Carolina, to provide the Inclusive Easter Egg Hunt for children of all ages and ability levels.
There will be a short tour of the farm and fun activities in the barn, as well as the Inclusive Easter Egg Hunt (of course). Please bring your Easter basket, but if you forget, that’s ok, too… We will have some available for sale. Some other activities available are temporary tattoos, crafts, bubbles, a photo booth, and more!
Throughout the warmer months, Creekside Recreational Therapy & Wellness (Creekside RTW) partners with Bright Star Farm in Trenton, North Carolina, to provide Family Movie Nights for families with children of all ages and ability levels.
Families are invited to come out to join us in watching a family-friendly movie outdoors, under the stars, (on the side of the barn). We usually have a campfire (depending on the wind), and s’mores are available. Bring a chair or blanket and any other snacks and drinks you would like (no alcohol, please), and enjoy the show!
Typically, people arrive about 30 minutes before dusk. The movie starts at dusk.
