Home Services Education and Training

Creekside Recreational Therapy & Wellness (Creekside RTW) staff are able to facilitate classes and workshops, provide individual and staff development training, as well as teamwork and teambuilding sessions.  Creekside RTW staff are also available to provide conference presentations and workshops on a variety of topics including Anger Management, Coping Skills, Effective Communication, Peer Support, Self Care, Stress Management, Teamwork, Wellness Education, WRAP® (Wellness Recovery Action Planning®), and many others.

Classes & Workshops

We facilitate classes and workshops and have several educational tracks or series.  Some of the classes in each series build on each other and some can be taken as stand-alone classes and workshops.  For more information about each class, click on the picture or the name of the class.  To find out when a class is being held, please view it on our calendar.

The simple answer is everyone! The person who is participating in Education & Training through Creekside Recreational Therapy & Wellness (Creekside RTW), his or her family, friends, coworkers and others can all benefit from participating in Education and Training classes and workshops.  People with and without disabilities or illnesses of all ages and ability levels are welcomed to participate in Education and Training classes and workshops.

It depends… since we (Creekside Recreational Therapy & Wellness) do not have a permanent home (building or office), we partner with different organizations to provide many of the programs, services, classes and workshops that we facilitate.  A few of the organizations that partner with us and graciously provide us with space to hold classes and workshops are:

  • The Peer Support Center of Carteret County
  • High Falls United Methodist Church
